I bought a Microsoft Surface 3 (not pro 3) because I wanted to try drawing on it.  I use Paint Tool Sai to draw mostly and unfortunately I found a couple of weird compatibility issues with Win8/NTrig digitizer and Sai.  If you are thinking of doing the same thing and/or run into these issues then maybe this will help you.

1. Disabling touch screen when drawing
You don't want your finger touches leaving ink on your drawing canvas randomly.  Surface 3 comes with palm rejection but it doesn't work very well.  You can google how to turn off the touch screen in Windows 8 and you basically have to go into your Device Manager, go under Human Interface Devices, then find and disable HID-compliant touch screen.  The problem with this is when you launch Sai with touch screen off it breaks all pressure sensitivity, i.e. it just doesn't work.  So instead you'll have to launch Sai with the touch screen enabled first, then go into your Device Manager and disable it.

2. Sai clicks twice when you clicks once
I first noticed that whenever I try to open any menu (e.g. 'File') the menu would open up and close itself.  Sai is actually counting 2 clicks; the first one opens the menu then the next one immediately closes it.  To fix it go into your installation folder and find misc.ini, then find the setting that says TabletMouseSimulation = 0 and change the 0 into a 1.

3. Adjusting pressure curve
I didn't like the pressure curve on this NTrig digitizer/pen but it turns out you can change it.  No, the settings aren't found in the Control Panel (why would you put anything there?) instead you have to go to the start menu, then on the very right click on a tile called Surface.  If you scroll past a dialogue there will be settings for the pen pressure.

4. Paint Tool Sai icons are big and blurry
Right click on the shortcut to Paint Tool Sai, go to Compatibility tab and click on Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.  Now all the icons will be tiny.  I honestly don't like it either way but there's not much any of us can do unless the Paint Tool Sai team decides to create high resolution assets for the program.

Hope this helps out some people that were having similar issues.
